Assessment
Assessment will be associated with the National Standards listed above. I will be selecting various movements skills such as locomotor, non-locomotor and manipulative skills for standard
- Throughout PE my intention with assessment is to help your child see where they are at so that they can improve. Assessment is never a means to show them how bad they are but to encourage them to improve in PE. I desire for students to want to come to PE to learn, grow and be able to be life time movers.
- For Standards 3-5, these standards are focused on the social and emotional aspects of PE in which I will be teaching the students the value of physical activity and why it's important to treat everyone with respect.
- If during PE your child does not follow the expectations then it may affect the score I give them in regards to Standard 4 of my observational assessment. With a lower score in that category I will be sure to have contacted you prior so you are unaware as to why your child received a lower score for personal and social behavior.
